The report
The public findings, interpretation, limits, and implications for operators and hiring teams.
engineerGTM Research / 2026
One year of real job postings. One clear view of how the roles are structured, where the work lives, and what companies expect people to build.

The costly problem
Some companies want a technical RevOps builder. Others want an outbound operator, a growth engineer, or a customer-facing seller who can build. Generic advice flattens those jobs into one fashionable title. This report will separate them using the postings themselves.
Research questions
Is the job full time, contract, part time, temporary, or another employment type?
Which role families and workstreams appear most often across the captured market?
How long do listings remain online before the source detects that they closed?
Which countries contain the most captured roles, and what share does each represent?
What share of roles is remote, hybrid, onsite, or unknown?
Which tools appear most often, and are they required, preferred, or simply mentioned?
Which GTM use cases are employers asking people to build?
Method before headline
We will analyze direct-employer postings captured by TheirStack and published from Aug. 11, 2025 through Aug. 10, 2026. The title query, exclusions, duplicate rules, coding dictionary, missing-data rates, and collection date will ship with the report.
Every chart will name its denominator. Multi-label workstreams will be separated from mutually exclusive role families, and time online will never be mislabeled as time to hire. Qualitative practitioner evidence will explain the numbers, not replace them.
